Nobody wants to tear apart a perfectly good kinetic recovery rope to see what's inside, so we'll do it for you!  This is a great view of the "double braid" aspect of double braid nylon.  We pulled the 'core' braid out through the side of the 'sleeve' braid so both could easily be seen.  Both braids are load bearing, with the core braid carrying roughly 60% of the load.  PRO TIP: See the tape on the end of the rope?  When cutting rope, wrap the point where you will be cutting with tape, then cut through the tape.  This will keep the fibers together as you make the cut, ensuring a cleaner cut overall.
