Product Description
This is ASR's base Kinetic Rope Recovery Kit, which comes with an ASR 7/8" diameter Ultimate Kinetic Recovery Rope (UKRR), two 3/8" Soft Shackles and a drawstring ASR Stash Bag with sewn-on side handle.
ASR "ULTIMATE" KINETIC RECOVERY ROPE: This US-Made rope smoothly transfers kinetic energy from an "assist" vehicle to a "stuck" vehicle, stretching up to 20% under nominal load (30% stretch at max strength rating), avoiding the terrible shock loading associated with yanking on a strap or non-elastic rope, cable or chain. The entire body of our UKRR is coated with a flexible polymeric coating (which we offer in many colors) for improved resistance to abrasion and debris intrusion. It also has hard dipped eyes, further increasing durability at this key wear point. Rated at 28,300 lbs Minimum Tensile Strength (MTS, equivalent to Minimum Breaking Strength), ASR's 7/8" diameter UKRR has a Working Load Limit of 9,000 lbs and is designed for use by Full-Sized SUVs like the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Sequoia, Chevy Tahoe, and Full-Sized Trucks like the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500. Made in the USA in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, and manufactured and tested in conformance with API Q1 Specification standards. ASR FLEX SOFT SHACKLE: With a 43,500 lb MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength), ASR's 3/8" Flex Soft Shackle perfectly compliments our 7/8" UKRR. Made of ultra-strong Plasma HMPE Rope, these soft shackles are as strong as steel cable but 6X lighter, so light that they float. Plasma rope already has the best abrasion resistance of any synthetic fiber made, and this soft shackle is coated with an exterior polymeric coating to provide additional protection. There is no stronger 3/8” Soft Shackle on the market. Made in the USA in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, and manufactured and tested in conformance with API Q1 Specification standards.

Got Rope?
I bought my first Jeep two weeks ago and have hit the trails for some winter wheelin twice now! Before we went out last weekend, I figured I should probably have some of my own recovery gear. At the advice of an acquaintance through the overlandbound.com community, I was directed to ASR. I originally wanted a 20' because that's a long way. He highly suggested a 30', so I ordered a 30' 7/8". I receive the product very quickly and even in a "custom" color! I laid it out in my house and said to myself "30' is WAY TOO LONG! I knew I should have gotten 20', maybe I'll sell this one and get the 20'" Then I got out on the trail and got myself stuck in some snow. I brought it out, hooked it up to my Jeep, laid it out to get ot the vehicle in front of me and said, "crap, is this going to be long enough?!" Definitely get the 30'!! The customer service at ASR is AWESOME! I was talking with Brian via email and he was extremely helpful, providing me answers to my questions, upates on my order, and even a couple links to help me understand recovery. The product is very well made. No defects in any of the items, and it held up well to three recoveries on the trail! When I need additional recovery gear, I will first check with ASR to see if they are a vendor for it. Thank you to ASR for the great customer service (which is very hard to find these days) and a very well made product!
